Most recently, Go-Go Bouncey appeared as the drum teacher in the film Residue released in 2020, written and directed by Merawi Gerima. Go-Go Bouncey has been involved in D.C.'s homegrown sound, Go-Go, for several decades. Known for his energetic style on the congas and timbales, he has shared the stage as a member of Grammy nominated recording artist Experience Unlimited (E.U.), widely known for their hit "Da Butt" featured in Spike Lee's film, School Daze. Over the years he has performed with Little Benny & the Masters, High Potential Band and Proper Utensils. Go-Go Bouncey has also lent his talents to Jonny B, Hip Hop Artist Trip Star, Horu Music Experience and his latest, The 202 Project. Go-Go Bouncey can be heard on recordings, "Ho Ho Santa" a release from High Potential Band, Getting Funky Up In Here and Take Me Out To The Go-Go releases from Little Benny & the Masters, Fire and Make Money from Experience Unlimited (E.U.) The album release of Little Benny & the Masters Get Your Drink On (Get Your Freak On), featured a host of the Go-Go genre's luminaries including the legendary Rock & Roll Hall of Famer and The Godfather of Go-Go Chuck Brown, James "Jas. Funk" Thomas, William "Ju Ju" House, Milton "Go-Go Mickey" Freeman and more. The Trip Star Foundation, a non-profit organization co-founded by Go-Go Bouncey in January 2016, was created to help the underserved in Washington, DC area. The Foundation provides clothing and food to the homeless, organizes back to school supply drives and Christmas toy drives as well as bicycle raffles for children. In addition, the Foundation also provides free haircuts with a mobile haircut bus. In 2018 the Trip Star Foundation was given an award by the Government of Washington D.C., for their tremendous work in the community.
