Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, Jake is a Midwesterner raised in Southern California. With a drive to act at age 9, he approached his family to help him find an agent and made his way from Carlsbad, CA to Los Angeles to pursue acting. While booking commercials and landing his first feature film alongside Josh Brolin in Jonah Hex, he shared the screen with his friends also pursuing acting in the documentary The Hollywood Complex. Now in college, Jake is pursuing a degree in filmmaking while acting in roles such as Geoff in Cooper Barrett's Guide to Surviving Life. He aspires to not only continue acting but work behind the camera as well.
Award winning actor, Jake Raymond credits the musical theater productions in elementary school as the place it all started. While keeping acting as a hobby, he also competed as a national level gymnast and graduated from university with a Human Kinetics degree. It was upon completion of university that Jake decided to take a risk and focus on acting as his lifelong career. Off to a quick start, Jake found himself living in the United Kingdom for three months to film the hit family series Tati's Hotel which aired on Disney Junior, ITV, and TVO. Since then he has appeared in several film and television productions including Being Human, My Roommate's an Escort, and Murdoch Mysteries.
