James, a former Collegiate athlete from Erie, PA graduated at the University of Akron with a Bachelors in Exercise Science. In college he split time going to school and traveling to New York City in the summers to pursue his acting/modeling career. Once graduated he moved to NYC for what he thought was for good. His first big role he booked there was in "The Preppie Connection." James developed an assiduous work ethic at a very young age. He knew he was ready to take another leap of faith and move to Los Angeles to really pursue TV & film. This decision was made in a matter of days. He put in his two weeks at his job, packed two suitcases and booked a one-way flight to LA. Landing in LAX with no place to stay and not knowing a single person he hit the ground running. Within the first year of living in LA he booked his first big television role on LifeTime as the Lead in a 'Bonnie and Clyde' type TV Series called "Crazy Love," which is now on Hulu. He booked the Lead in a TV Series pilot (2019) called "Nobody's From LA." In all the craziness of 2020 James booked roles in SWAT on CBS, and also The Rookie on ABC. A film he shot last year is also set to debut sometime this year (2021), The Root of Perfection. This year he has been producing a feature film that he will also star in. James' tenacious work ethic is all fueled by the insurmountable support from his family, friends, and fans. James Adam Lim
James was born in Dallas, Texas to parents of Korean heritage. He has an older brother in New York City. James grew up in Plano, Texas where he excelled in Tae Kwon Do and football. After his junior year of nursing school at Baylor University, he caught the acting bug through community theater. He subsequently packed his bags and drove nonstop to Los Angeles in January of 2010. After a year of training, James made his debut in Pearry Teo's 'Dead Inside'. He has since earned roles in CBS' "Hawaii Five-0" and FOX's "The Mindy Project".

James Adames
James Adames' big break in the film and television business was more than a career change - it was a second shot at life. Adames, 27, was wrapping up a two-month prison sentence on Rikers Island when he learned about the Made in NY Production Assistant Training Program, a partnership between the Mayor's Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting and Brooklyn Workforce Innovations. Now in its fifth year, the four-week program has put hundreds of low-income New Yorkers on the path to entry-level jobs in film and television for free. To return the favor, Adames has begun his own solo campaign to change the lives of others, from strangers on the street to his one-time mentor. Raised in Washington Heights by a single mother, Adames dropped out of junior high school and fell in with a drug-dealing crowd. In 2006, he was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and, in 2007, sentenced to four months in prison. He got off in two for good behavior. Made in NY offered a way to enter the industry in the fast lane, but still, he had reservations. With two kids to support, Adames had little time to spare finding income. Adames decided to go for it and graduated from the program in October. Since then, he has exceeded expectations, finding consistent work and moving swiftly from entry-level tasks to working as a key PA and, more recently, as a locations manager. He was even able to move from Washington Heights to Parkchester, Bronx.
