James Hayes was born in Las Vegas, NV and grew up in Arlington, VA. From childhood through most of his adult life, James studied and practiced the arts of Kung-Fu, Filipino Martial Arts and Muy Thai Kickboxing. After high school, he joined the United States Coast Guard and served for 8 years. Currently, James works as a Defense Contractor while pursuing his career as an actor, James has had the honor and privilege of working with some celebrities such as Marilu Henner, Corbin Bernsen and Eric Roberts.

Jim is a multiple Emmy Award nominee who is equally adept at both comedy and drama. He has directed a vast array of cable and broadcast series, from ABC's Desperate Housewives to HBO's groundbreaking series The Sopranos. Jim has also been the Executive Producing Director for two long-running dramatic series: ABC's Ugly Betty and CBS's Judging Amy. He has directed nine pilots in his career, of which six have been picked up to series. After graduating from New York University Graduate Film School with a Masters of Fine Arts Jim worked as a cinematographer in New York. He won the Hong Kong award for best cinematography for his work on An Autumn's Tale. He also photographed the 1988 film Tokyo Pop and the feature film version of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. As a cinematographer on the acclaimed television show Northern Exposure, Jim got his first directing gig, for which he earned a DGA award nomination for the episode "Jules & Joel". In the fifteen years since, Jim has directed numerous pilots including Dangerous Minds, and To Have and To Hold, as well as numerous episodics such as The Sopranos, ER, Law & Order, House, and Desperate Housewives, to name a few. In addition to directing, Jim has also worked as an Executive Producer on Judging Amy, Joan of Arcadia, Ugly Betty, To Have and To Hold, and Dangerous Minds several of which have garnered various awards, including 2 Emmy nods and 1 Golden Globe win. Jim is also a well known documentary film maker. He helped make the film The Man From Hope which followed Bill and Hilary Clinton through the 1992 campaign and was showcased at the Democratic Convention that year and later heralded as a strategic aspect of Bill Clinton's victory in the election. This past November, Jim traveled to central India to document the 50th anniversary of the East West Gathering. He is married to actress Annie Potts with whom he has 3 children, Clay, Doc and Harry.
James Christopher Colin Haynes (born 1997) is an English actor. He was born in Goodmayes but spent most of his time growing up in Essex. James starting acting at the age of six through Rhodes Theatre School in Hornchurch, and began working for Rhodes Agency for 10 years, earning various extra credits in big productions. James also acted in theatre during his time at school, portraying Danny Zuko in Grease and Fagin in Oliver!. James took a short break from acting to complete a undergraduate degree in Film and Television Production by the University of Hertfordshire in 2016, which he finished in July 2019. He did a small role as a Junkie in Hooligan Escape (2018) followed by a main role in Escape From Stalag III (2020).
The son of a police superintendent in India, the character actor James Hayter was educated in Scotland, where he was urged into acting by his headmaster. After one year (1924-5) at the Royal Academy of the Dramatic Arts in London, he performed in repertory theater, eventually appearing in The West End in such plays as "1066 and All That" and "French Without Tears." He made his film debut in 1936 and continued in films until World War II, when he served in the Royal Armoured Corps. His father was the co-owner of a Sales Rep company and his mother worked for Former Mayor and State Congressman Tommy Vandergriff at the family owned car dealership. James began his acting career at the age of 15 doing local theatre and obtaining his first Theatrical Agent. He qualified to join the Screen Actors Guild with his one liner on the "who shot Jr" episode of Dallas. His first "one line" speaking role in a film was with Joanne Woodward in "Crisis at Central High" A theatre major in college, James fell in love with Claire Barney-Healy, who he has been married to since June of 1984. They had one son, James Healy III, who was born in 1986 but passed away shortly after his birth. James went to work for the Grand Prairie Police Department in 1983 and worked as a patrol officer, was promoted to Detective and was also on the SWAT Team. In 1993 he was assigned as a patrol Sergeant. He later worked for the Kennedale Police Dept as the Administrative Supervisor. In 1995 James and his wife went to Los Angeles where he worked on a regular basis booking his first few jobs shortly after arrival: an ABC after school special and a small role on News Radio, where he was lucky to have met and worked with Phil Hartman. Other LA credits included Guest Roles on Will & Grace, Judging Amy and a recurring role on Even Stevens starring Shia Labeouf. In 2002 James and Claire moved back to Arlington Texas and He went back to work in Law Enforcement. In 2006 James went to Afghanistan for a year working for the Dept of State, hired to train Afghan Police Command Staff and Officers after the war. In 2008 James became the Chief of Police for the Godley Tx. police Dept. subsequently retiring from Law Enforcement in 2015. James, who has a master's degree in Criminal Justice, was an adjunct professor at the University of Texas at Arlington as well as an Instructor for the Regional Police Academy at the Council of Government's in Arlington Texas and the Fort Bend County Texas, Sheriff's Department from 2012 to 2015. Since retiring James has gone back into acting full time! He coaches and tapes other actors for their auditions as well as his own and is available to Edit Demo Reels too. With a house in TX and apartments in LA, NY and Atlanta and agents in each major market, James spends a lot of time on the road.
