Karenlie Riddering was born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico. She started acting in preschool, influenced by an aunt who was a drama teacher. She played many roles for theatre and became a radio announcer by the age of 16. She studied Fine Arts and continued working in theatre until she moved to Atlanta in 2006. There she quickly began acting in corporate videos, commercials and films, capturing the attention of clients and production companies for her ability to speak English and Spanish flawlessly. Riddering is also a business owner and an author and motivational speaker. Her first book, "Puerto Rico Encanto Oculto", published in 2005, was a best-seller in the island that same year. It was a book of her photographs of the least known places in PR, and the product of over eight years of exploring the island. She also wrote many articles for a local magazine, which detailed her adventures across the enchanting island. In 2012, Riddering published her second book, this time a non-fiction self-help book for teens titled "Your Present Future: Things Teens Need to Know Now About Becoming Adults." Through YPF, she offers seminars for teenagers on how to better prepare for a brighter future and the transition into adulthood. In 2013, Riddering produced, directed and hosted her first feature-length documentary: Insider's Guide to Puerto Rico. A continuation of her photographic work in her first book, the film, released to DVD in July 2013, follows Karenlie and multiple guides across Puerto Rico, highlighting the best and least documented destinations in the island. The film has been generating great reviews and was released in conjunction with the 2nd edition of the book, Puerto Rico Encanto Oculto.
