She has a love for all animals especially horses and dogs. She plays violin, piano, guitar, ukulele, saxophone and drums. Niki's father is of Spanish, Korean, Filipino ancestry. Her mother had lived in Brunei before moving to Canada and is of Chinese, Japanese, Baba-Nyonya (Peranakan) descent. When not directing, she can more recently be seen in her series regular role of Alexis Glenn in the acclaimed Freeform Network series, "Famous In Love" from showrunner, I. Marlene King (PRETTY LITTLE LIARS). Niki co-starred in the Paramount Pictures film, "SCOUTS GUIDE TO THE ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE" as well as being cast in major roles in several independent feature films including: the Terrence Malick produced, "RED WING," "THE APPEARING," "GIRL ON THE EDGE," "TRAFFICKED," AND "WARNING SHOT." In addition, Koss recently completed lead roles in feature films, "BURYING YASMEEN," which she also produced, and "DREAMCATCHER". Her most recent short film, "INNOCENT GOODBYE," in which she produced and acted in, has been going through the festival circuit and accumulating numerous awards; Niki has so far won three best actress awards for her role in the film. Koss was also winner of the Female Filmmaker of the Year at the 2019 Burbank International Film Festival. She is a member of Women in Media, Women in Film, Glass Elevator and the Alliance of Women Directors as well as a Sundance Directing Fellowship alumni. Niki is also a board member of PATH and is particularly passionate about female empowerment within the entertainment industry and putting an end to homelessness. Niki was recently included in the entertainment list of Forbes 30 Under 30, 2021.
Niki Lauda
Born to a wealthy family in Vienna, Niki Lauda did not use the conventional methods of a man his means to become a world champion race driver. Far from it, his family disapproved and refused to finance his career, but Lauda plodded on, racing in the lesser ranks before getting his first break in Formula 1 with March. After a couple of fruitless seasons in F1, he caught the attention of legendary car builder Enzo Ferrari, and was soon driving for the famed "Prancing Horse." Lauda came close to winning the World Championship in 1974, but secured the coveted title the next year with a stellar season. Lauda was well on his way to winning again in 1976, but was nearly killed in a fiery crash at Nurburgring, Germany. In nothing short of a miracle, Lauda was back racing in six weeks despite being scarred in the face from his burns, yet nearly won the title, losing by only a single point to James Hunt. Lauda recaptured the F1 world title in 1977, raced one more year before announcing his retirement in 1978, to devote more time to his fledgling Lauda Air. His retirement was short as he came back to race, this time for McLaren, in 1982. With McLaren, Lauda won his third and final championship in 1984, and retired for good in 1985 with 25 career wins and the admiration of the racing world. He is the founder, CEO and occasional pilot at Lauda Air, which is the second largest commercial airlines in Austria, and is a consultant for Ferrari.
Niki Lindroth von Bahr
Stockholm. Her award winning short films The Burden (2017), Bath House (2014) and Tord and Tord (2010) has been screened at festivals like Cannes, Berlinale, Toronto and Sundance. The Burden has since it's premiere in 2017 won 25 awards, including the Cristal for Best Short Film in Annecy, Best International Short Film in Toronto and Guldbaggen for Best Short Film. Niki got her master degree in fine arts from The Royal Institute of Art in 2016. She is represented as an artist by Stene Projects Gallery in Stockholm and as a director by Nexus Studios in London. Niki is also a costume designer and has been working for artists like Fever Ray and David Bowie.
